Quality Assurance

Use this service to run Quality Assurance checks on construction documents - both working drawings and specifications.
This provides you with a "fresh pair of eyes" to check important aspects of the drawings, architectural and those prepared by other members of the project team, for accuracy, conflict detection and completion.

It does not include a buildability review or a compliance check with regulatory requirements.

If you have used the Document Review service to generate a Brief, then if requested, the drawings and specification will be checked against the most recent issue of the Brief Reports.

Deliverables include the documents that you have provided for checking, in marked up format.

Generally, these are hardcopy, but may be annotated .pdf files if requested.

If you have used the Document Review service to generate a Brief, then a report relating to compliance with the brief may also be provided.

After you have completed the construction documents, they are systematically checked and any issues noted.

If requested, this process may be repeated to check for the inclusion of previous mark-ups.

AMS uses generally accepted drawing and specification standards to check against, together with a range of widely accepted check lists and templates where relevant.

The QA process will follow any in-house standards as supplied to AMS.

You provide a hard copy of all the documents to be included in the QA process.

Drawings are to be minimum A2 size, preferably A1. You also provide all documents referred to within the drawings and specification.

If you request the deliverables to be in the form of annotated .pdf files, then original .pdf files of all the documents to be processed will also be required.

Any in-house standards or templates currently in use should also be provided.
